The Yacare caiman (Caiman yacare, Jacaré in Portuguese) is a species of caiman found in central South America. As a medium-small sized crocodrilian, most adult male individuals grow to roughly 2 or 2.5 m(6.6 or 8.2 ft) females are are rather smaller at an average of 1.4m (4.6 ft). They weight 58 kg in males and 23 kg in females. Their diet consists mainly on fish (especially piranha) and birds, with Occasional capybara being taken by larger adults. In general, all species of caiman (the exception being the large black caiman) are incapable of seriously harming or consuming humans.

Information from the Zoo: The Yacare caiman was not in the Zoo, so I couldn't get any information from there.

At the Zoo I had much fun, but I couldn't see the Yacare. I think that I will have a good grade with the test they gave us.
