The scientific name of the Chinese Water Dragon is (Physignathus Cocincinus).


Chinese Water Dragon can 90cm lenght and 60cm up.Colouration ranges from dark to light green.Adult males have larger,more triangular heads than feamales,and develop larger crests on the head,neck and tail.Chinese Water Dragon have a small,iridiscent,photosensativ spot between thei eyes.

Habitat and Behaviours:

Native to the lowlands and hihgland forest of India,Northem and Southern China,Eastern and Southeastern Asia.

They are active during the day,and spend most of their time in trees or palants.


Though they also eat vegetation,the diet of the Water Dragon consist mainly of insects,supplemented with an occasional small fish mammals or reptiles.
